Barnard's Emporium at the Mill

The Barnard family story at the Mill began over 100 years ago. The original seed sorting room was eventually transformed into retail space with authentic additions. Today, both the store and the family name are in business again creating a sense of living history. Visitors can enjoy the Emporium’s heritage charm as well as recently made artisan gifts and crafts from over twenty-six vendors.
Now fully stocked for the season, an impressive variety of innovative goods includes hand painted jewelry, glassware, hand knit or hand stencilled baby things, cloth items such as tote bags created from sailboat sails, lovely soaps, candles, cards and scarves and hand carved wood sculptures among other special items. You will also find delicious local jams, jellies, pickles, honey and biscotti. Historical prints and photographs by local artists capture the past while some vintage kitsch adds to the fun finds for shoppers.
