Bicentennial Heritage Fair
June 1-3, 2012
Why just watch a re-enactment when you can participate? Bringing history to life is all about acting and creating - a process very few people are able to enjoy in daily life. The Bicentennial Heritage Fair offers you a unique opportunity to do both in a living theatre environment, where everyone can have a role - even spectators, if you insist. |
Help Defend King & Country!
Part of living in early Upper Canada meant being ready to defend it from those pesky republicans to the south. This was never more so important than in 1812.
Join the Spencerville Sedentary militia or watch skirmish re-enactments... Break the Guinness World Record
In an attempt to beat the Guinness World Record for the most people dressed in Regency clothes, we're asking participants to gather on Saturday June 2. The current record is just 409 people. To entice you, we've enhanced our Costume Competition, with four categories and top overall prize of 4 tickets courtesy of VIA Rail for anywhere between Brockville and Niagara Falls.
Dance the Weekend Away - Regency Ball
English Country is one of the most social and engaging forms of dance - and we're offering lot's of it at the Heritage Fair.
Enjoy a full weekend of dancing with a Regency Dance on Friday, Ball Review Workshop on Saturday, a Regency Ball in the event, and a Regency Dance on Sunday - all for just $75 per person. Are you for Reform or the Tories?
Voting in early Upper Canada was frequently a full-contact sport, played only by men.
Bring an 1812 election to life at the Bicentennial Heritage Fair. Watch as Mayor Bill Sloan and Jim Purcell attempt to win on the Tory ticket, while adversaries Councillors John Hunter and Gerry Morrell work hard to win the masses in the name of Reform. Little is forbidden in this election. How can these gentlemen win your vote? |
