The Spencerville Mill Foundation

The Spencerville Mill Foundation is a voluntary organization dedicated to historic preservation and interpretation of the Spencerville Mill and the history of the local community.
Much work has also been done to preserve wildlife and conservation areas. Over the past few years the grounds have been transformed into a park area with flower gardens and picnic tables to welcome visitors, wedding parties, family gatherings and special events.
Exterior and interior restoration work is on going. Displays and exhibits are being added to enhance the visitor’s experience. As well, the Spencerville Mill hosts special events and community gatherings demonstrating its vital and unique role in the community.
The Spencerville Mill Foundation depends on its many dedicated volunteers and the financial support of the community. Through community support and partnerships with local business and community organizations much has been accomplished toward developing the Spencerville Mill into a valuable historical resource.
The current focus of Mill fundraising is the installation of an elevator in order for our upper level to be fully accessible for all those who would like to attend events including weddings, enjoy Music at the Mill and our special Exhibits which are often displayed upstairs. This venture is a special challenge as we are dedicated to preserving the historic ambience of all parts of the Mill.
