The Spencerville Mill Remembers:
The Great War (1914-1918) and its Impact on our Community

Picture
2014 marked the 100th anniversary of Britain’s entry in the Great World War. The Spencerville Mill Foundation plans to mark this anniversary with the unveiling of a new exhibit highlighting the effect World War I had on our community.

This is just the beginning of a four-year project guest curated by Marc Tessier. Over the next four years, the Spencerville Mill Foundation intends to bring to life the stories of the men and women of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, Leeds & Grenville who served in World War I.  It is the Foundation’s hope that the exhibit will ignite the imagination of our visitors and generate interest in the sacrifices made by the area’s men and women.  We hope you will join us as we take our first step on our four-year journey into the history of the First World War.

The Spencerville Mill is excited to be implementing World War Wednesday. We will be posting all sorts of information and clips about World War One. We hope that you will join us at The Spencerville Mill on facebook.
