On Saturday August 13th The Mill hosted our first Vintage Carnival planned by the summer students. 140 people attended the event hosted inside the Mill and did not let the rain get in the way of their fun. Activites included games, face painting and a fashion show. A special thank you to summer students Kiana Carmichael, Jamie Sargeant and Morgan Charlebois. A big thank you to board member Lois Wiseman who came up with the idea and helped us plan.

During the evening of August 12th, the band Soul Cracker joined us to put on a fantastic performance. This 9-piece classic soul and Motown band performed music of the greats from the 60s and 70s such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Smoky Robinson and more. A great time was had by all who attended!
Local artists got to practice their skills at the Plein Air Painting event on Thursday August 11 at the Mill, hosted by Mary Moore. Thanks to all who came and participated!
Elliott Broode will be joing us on September 22nd as part of the Festival of Small Hall. Opening for them will be Trevor Alguire!
On July 21st, the Thousand Islanders Chorus put on a concert at the Mill. All that attended enjoyed a wonderful performance.
